Log Book - In the Starting Blocks

We would like to show you how our foundation has taken shape. How our logo and website have seen the light? The first step of a project is to put on our thinking cap. December 2008 is the beginning of succesive evenings plenty of thoughts, researchs, talks, exchanges of ideas... We agreed then to the basics:-

Once the basics of our project were well-defined, we had to move on to the next step: the execution… We faced up to a real challenge ! We started with a blank page and we used our brain in order to make all in our mind real. But we are not graphics designers… So we have contacted Célia, who is talented in this area. We asked her : ''HHHeelp! We need a logo and we need a website, but we don't have a clue how we can create them. Do you agree to help us?''. Célia was immediately motivated and up for helphing us! She took part of the ’’En piste pour le monde’’ adventure in that way in February 2009! And now, this is the story of our adventure. 1. For the creation of our logo, we gave Celia "carte blanche" with only a few catchwords: Racetrack – World trip – Planisphere – Dynamism – Runner… 10th of March 2009: first propositions from Célia...
2. It did not suit us, it was not exactly what we wanted. We were demanding but, as we did not know which kind of logo we wanted, we were not precise enough for Célia! Let's start again our researchs…
11th of March 2009: we liked the spirit in the pictures below...
3. After a whole night of reflexion, the ideal logo appeared in Delphine's dreams. We knew we were not very good at photoshop &co but we could draw to explain exactly what we desired.
12th of March 2009: ''Check out Célia, we would like that, only better!''
12th of March 2009, a few hours later: We had a dream, Célia made our dreams come true!
4. After a few days of readjustments (sorry Célia for all our demands!): ''For the arrowhead, can you please do it witha sharp point and more orange and more dynamic ? And for the numbers, they are written in the wrong way, can you please change them? And for the giraffe, there is grass underneath, can you please erase it?... ''
Regarding the colour of our planisfere, we surveyed our friends and families (thanks everybody!) and everyone chose this green colour!
29th of March 2009: Go for it!
Our logo finished, we can now explain you how our website has taken shape. The scenario starts in the same way: we did not know what we wanted.
1. We told the same to Célia:‘’Célia, you have carte blanche"! (this expression is very useful when you don't have a clue on what you are talking about! :P). We received the preliminary sketch 5 days later… We were curious about how our website will look like! And we had a very good surprise when we opened the attachment because Célia took personal initiatives and the website was very nice. 26th of April 2009: first propositions from Célia...
2. Happy enough with this first proposition, we only asked a few amendments (otherwise, it's won't be funny!)... We took 24 hours to think about what we could change to improve the website's template and we made a list to Célia (again thanks to Delphine's dreams!). 27th of April 2009: email to Célia with the "to-do list". 3. 24 hours later, the template was ready... we did a sensational teamwork! Célia read in our mind! 28th of April 2009: Go for it! Again, THANK YOU VERY MUCH Célia for your imagination, your reactivity and your professionalism. If you like her work, do not hesitate to visit her own website: http://www.ceelya-web.com/ ! PS: By the way, regarding the name of our project ''En Piste pour le Monde", it's Maxime's idea. He was running while he got this idea (who said that men are not able to do two things at the same time...?)
· Regarding the logo: we think he is too confused with the other pictures. Can you move it in the lower part of the website?
· Regarding the pictures: There are too many pictures, can you change that? And can you hang the images with clothespins to make believe it's a memo board?
