Our first days in Namibia

We just arrived to Windhoek, the Namibian capitale, after 21 hours by bus from Cape Town, in South Africa.
We stayed in Windhoek for 2 days to find the best solution to visitthe country. We already have been told that Namibia was not the best country to travel as a backpacker. This country is quite expensive and tere are only a few solutions to discover it, the choice is limited.
The best solutions to visit all the nice Namibian places in 2 weeks are: rent a 4x4 or book a guided tour. We spent our first days in Namibia studying all the traveling options and we finaly chose to book a guided tour for 10 days. This 10 days tour is quite expensive actually but the advantage is to be guided! We negociated the total price a bit and we will be only the 2 of us with the guide for this trip! So it's quite a good deal.
We gave up the idea of the rental car because if you calculate all the costs (food + rental car + petrol + entrance fees + campsite grounds) the price doesn't worth for 2 people. If we found 2 other people, it would be a good solution but for a couple only, the total price of this solution is too high. We would need to share the car to save money. And a guided tour is a good way to learn more about the Namibian culture and to see the most wonderful places.
So we are waiting for Monday morning to start thius 10 days tour. We are staying in a very good backpacker (cardboard box backpacker) in Windhoek and we are enjoying the nice weather and the 1/4 final games of the world cup! We watched the games with German and Spanish people, it's always good to watch the games with some supporters originary from the country which is playing.
